Hibanobambusa is a natural hybrid between bamboos from the genera Phyllostachys and Sasa. Inherited from the Phyllostachys genus, it exhibits slightly greater height and aggressive growth, while characteristics from Sasa contribute to its large exotic leaves and somewhat thinner stems.
